Biography

I am an academic general practitioner (GP) and a Clinical Senior Lecturer in General Practice. I joined University of Glasgow in August 2010 as a clinical lecturer, funded by the Scottish Clinical Research Excellence Development Scheme (SCREDS). I was awarded a PhD in Primary Care Research by University of Glasgow in 2016 for his project entitled "Exploring the potential role of allostatic load biomarkers in risk assessment of patients presenting with depressive symptoms". I was awarded a NRS Career Research Fellowship funded in 2017. I am currently working as a sessional GP in John Street Surgery in Bellshill and also the Cluster Quality Lead (CQL) for Bellshill area.

I am currently the National Clinical Lead for NRS Primary Care Research Network in Scotland.

I am also co-leading the International Research Community on Multimorbidity
